In detail
Tenerife is one of the most interesting destinations in Europe for birdwatching thanks to its location in the Macaronesian biogeographical region and the diversity of volcanic landscapes found across the island.
During this birdwatching experience in Tenerife, we explore different habitats while learning how to observe birds in a respectful and attentive way.
The island hosts a combination of resident birds, endemic birds of Macaronesia and migratory species that use the Canary Islands as a stopover along Atlantic routes.
This experience is not only about identifying bird species, but also about understanding their behaviour, their relationship with the landscape and the ecological dynamics of island ecosystems.
You can learn more about these species in our article about endemic birds of Macaronesia in Tenerife.

Bird observation is influenced by weather conditions, seasonal changes, sea conditions in coastal areas and the natural behaviour of wildlife. Each outing is therefore unique and the observation of specific species cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and comfortable walking shoes. Depending on the season or observation area, warm clothing may also be advisable.
To enjoy the experience more fully, bringing binoculars is recommended if you have them. If not, please contact us in advance to check equipment availability.
The activity follows a respectful wildlife observation approach. Participants are kindly asked to maintain silence, avoid sudden movements and follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
To protect fragile island ecosystems and local biodiversity, disturbing, feeding or approaching wildlife too closely is not allowed.
Before booking your experience, please inform us if you have any physical limitations or specific needs so that the activity can be adapted when possible.
