Once again we have obtained the tender for hiking trails from the Department of Heritage of the City Council of Granadilla de Abona or also known as Senderismo de Granadilla de Abona, whose program is called: CONOCE TU PATRIMONIO (KNOW YOUR HERITAGE).
Who are the hiking routes in Granadilla de Abona for?
This time the hiking trails in Granadilla de Abona are aimed at students of the 4 institutes of the municipality:
Hiking in tenerife groups of how many people?
The routes will be for groups of 20 people. If a class has a larger number of students, it may be reviewed to increase the number of participants based on the support of responsible adults who attend along with the guide, in order to maintain the safety of the group. The age of the participants must be 14 years old or older, and always with the permission of those responsible for them.
When do the routes take place?
During the school year 2023-2024 they will have the possibility to carry out 5 different options of hiking routes in Tenerife to get to know the municipality in more depth. High schools have 25 opportunities for students to bring nature into their classrooms.
Where are they located?
The routes are carried out from the coast, towards the summit, with the objective of learning about the native flora and fauna, the geological formation, archaeological remains, history, culture, and the current situation of our people.
The 5 hiking trails available are:
- Historical center of Granadilla de Abona – Caserío sobre La Fuente – Pinar – Cruz de Tea – Historical center.
- Los Roques and Ifara
- San Miguel de Abona – Granadilla de Abona Canary Islands
- Las Vegas hamlet
- Montaña Pelada Natural Monument
Based on the educational objectives of the INNOVAS network, the contents of the routes can be adapted to the educational program of each course. As well as hiking will be based on the age needs of each group.
How to sign up for hiking routes in Granadilla de Abona?
You can write us and reserve your route, we will advise you which is the most convenient for your group. And we will agree on a date and time for its realization.
We will meet at the agreed point at the agreed time, and the group will be able to taste some of the traditional products of the area. It is always important to let us know about allergies and special needs.
